School Mental Health Educator/Social Worker Intern

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The School Mental Health Educator Intern role at Sambhavya is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in promoting Social-Emotional well-being in schools. As a School Mental Health Educator intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced mental health professionals and contribute to the organization’s vision and goals.

REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS:

  • Recently Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, mental health or related field.
  • The candidate must have a passion towards working with children and adolescents, able to listen empathetically and be patient while dealing with adverse situations.
  • The candidate must have proper communication skills and be open to accept responsibilities while working in a team.
  • Flexibility to work in different school settings and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenge.
  • Passion for promoting mental health and wellbeing in schools.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the implementation of mental health education programs in schools.
  • Conducting mental health assessments and observation of students and providing recommendations for support.
  • Providing support to school counselors and mental health professionals.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of mental health education initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work with students and mental health interventions.
  • Adapting to the needs of different schools and student populations.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in school mental health.
