Sambhavya Foundation envisioned the establishment of ‘Counseling Rooms’ in government schools of Nepal under its mission of ‘One School, One School Mental Health Counselor’.
The project commenced on the 1st of March, 2021, and is an ongoing project. On the 2nd of March, 2021, Sambhavya Foundation inaugurated the first Counseling Room at Shree Terse Secondary School, Talamarang, Sindhupalchowk. The second Counseling Room followed at Shree Jalapadevi Secondary School, Bahunepati, Sindhupalchok whereas the third counseling room has already been inaugurated at Shree Bhagwati Secondary School, Sankhu.
This infrastructure provides a safe and comfortable environment. A therapeutic environment is free of disturbances, perceived as safe, and accepted as a place where one can authentically share their problems with the counselor. The infrastructure mitigates interference and discomfort, otherwise found in the absence of a counseling room.
Sambhavya Foundation has aimed to set-up standard counseling room in all its project schools. In 2022, we have targeted at least 5 of our project schools for setting up Standard Counseling Room.
